Our work | Audience and market development

Our research programme provides the arts sector with relevant and current market intelligence to enhance their work in building audiences and markets.

  • Creative New Zealand, Auckland City Council and the ASB Community Trust continue to work in partnership to develop a five-year Asian Aucklanders' Strategic Action Framework, following research conducted in late 2006 and published in May 2007.
  • Learning more about the diverse Asian communities in the Auckland region and how individuals, artists and families engage with the arts in New Zealand was the key focus of qualitative research undertaken by Creative New Zealand, Auckland City and ASB Community Trust.
  • Most New Zealanders value the arts and are involved in the arts as participants and/or audience members, research commissioned by Creative New Zealand in late 2005 has found.
