Objectspace Talkfest is an opportunity for makers, designers, students, teachers, and collectors to come together and talk. The theme for 2013 is Representation, which will be addressed in the following contexts: writing and publishing, new developments and territories, opportunities for individuals and groups, and within the ‘real’ and virtual worlds.
The 2013 Keynote speaker is Mike Holmes, the director of the Velvet da Vinci Gallery in San Francisco. Mike will be the guest of Objectspace and Creative New Zealand, and will be meeting makers in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch and Dunedin. He will also be giving a talk on jewellery for California Design at the Auckland Art Gallery.
As part of the programme, makers will have the opportunity to represent themselves at a Pecha Kucha night, held at 8pm, on 3 October, at Galatos, in the Basement.
