The 7th Pacific International Documentary Film Festival is calling for entriesto its 2010edition.

The 7th Pacific International Documentary Film Festival (FIFO) will take place in Papeete, Tahiti, from 26 to 31 january, 2010.

If you have produced or directed documentary films in the South Pacific region during the last three years, please submit them for the 2010 festival.

Entries close on October 1st, 2009

FIFO 2009 Awards
At FIFO 2009 which took place in Tahiti from January 27 to February 1st 2009, "An Island Calling" directed by Annie Goldson (New Zealand), won the grand jury prize (€4200).

Special awards went to "River of No Return" directed by Darlene Johnson (Australia), "Sevrapek City" by Emmanuel Broto & Fabienne Tzerikiantz (France) and "The Oasis" by Sascha Ettinger-Epstein & Ian Darling (Australia). The three special award winners received €2500 in prize money.

This highly successful sixth edition of FIFO gave the public and participants the opportunity to discover the many faces, cultures, histories and rich stories of the people of the South Pacific. The festival's partnership with RFO, (France Television group), enabled wide broadcasting of the prize-winning films.
