    Quick Response Grant

    Quick Response Grants are our most common form of funding. They are awarded in three rounds per year and available to all artforms. As our smallest and most numerous opportunity Quick Response Grants are a great place to start if you are new to Creative New Zealand Funding. More information

    Arts Grant

    Arts Grants are awarded in two rounds per year and are available to all artforms. They offer more funding than Quick Response Grants, but take longer for us to assess. More information

    Berlin Writers' Residency

    This residency is available for an established writer to work on an approved project for up to eleven months in Berlin, Germany. The residency covers travel to and accommodation in Berlin, a monthly stipend and incidentals. More information

    As Christchurch rebuilds we are supporting artists and arts organisations to undertake projects that will help to invigorate the redevelopment of the city. More information

    Michael King Writers' Fellowship

    This fellowship is available to established New Zealand authors of any literary genre with a significant publication record. It is offered annually for writers working on a major project which will take two years or more to complete. More information

    Sector Development Incentives Fund

    This fund encourages and supports sector-wide development by incentivising organisations to work together. Organisations and individuals funded through the Toi Tōtara Haemata programme and the Toi Uru Kahikatea programme can submit proposals to this fund. More information

    Louis Johnson New Writers' Bursary

    This opportunity is for published writers at an early stage of their career. The annual Louis Johnson New Writers’ Bursary was set up in 1989 with a bequest from New Zealand writer Louis Johnson’s estate. More information

    Fulbright-Creative New Zealand Pacific Writers’ Residency

    This residency provides an opportunity for a New Zealand writer (in any genre) of pacific heritage to work on a project exploring Pacific identity, culture or history. The residency is three months long and based at the Centre for Pacific Islands Studies at the University of Hawaii. More information
