New Zealand/Aotearoa Music Scholarships

This scholarship was established in 2011 with interest from the estate of the late Mr Brent Lewis to enable young musicians to undertake study or to gain further musical experience at a tertiary institution in New Zealand or overseas. Up to $16,000 is available to support up to two 12-month scholarships each year.

This training can be undertaken at a tertiary institution in either New Zealand or overseas.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must have completed as a minimum: a university degree, diploma and/or LTCL or LRSM qualification related to their proposed musical studies.
  • Applicants should be New Zealand residents, with preference given to those under 25.

Eligibility criteria are the same as when making Arts Grant application.

Applying

Application should be made to the 2nd March 2012 Arts Grant round.
