Application for registration as a charitable entity
You will need to complete this form in order to become a registered charitable entity.
Being a registered charitable entity is helpful in becoming an Inland Revenue Department - approved donee organisation. To become an IRD-approved donee organisation, see the charitable organisations section of the IRD website.
The forms below are ones that potential donors will need to complete so that they are eligible for the new donation benefits. You might want to print them off and have copies ready to give them:
IR526 – this is a tax claim (rebate) form for individuals (form on IRD website)
IR8 – this is an income tax return form for Māori Authorities (form on IRD website)
IR4 – this is an income tax return form for companies and businesses (form on IRD website)
