Emergency Relief Grant (rolling notifications) Closed: 29 May 2020

An Emergency Relief Grant is a contribution towards loss of income between 1 March and 30 June due to COVID-19. This grant is a lump sum top-up of the WINZ COVID-19 Wage Subsidy to align with Creative New Zealand’s policy to pay artists and arts practitioners fairly. Applications were open from 14 April - 29 May.

A batch of applications is assessed and recommended twice weekly. 

Names of successful individual applicants will not be listed publicly.

To date, 1851 grants totalling $7,045,826 have been paid, from a total 3024 eligible applications.

Of the 1536 individuals who have received a grant, 16% self-identified as Māori, and 6% self-identified as Pasifika.
