Arts Grants 2020 Round 4 Closing date: 20 Nov 2020
Arts Grants offer short-term project funding for New Zealand artists, arts practitioners and arts organisations (including groups and collectives). This funding enables more sustainable careers, encourages innovation and the development of arts practice, and provides opportunities for diverse communities to access the arts.

39 grants totalling $1,889,870 have been offered to support projects by New Zealand artists and practitioners in this funding round, across the three funding pools (General, Māori and Pacific).
188 eligible applications were received, with a total of $7,108,789 requested.
This was broken down as follows:
- General Arts: 28 projects totalling $1,365,502 were supported. $5,295,431 was requested by 153 applicants.
- Māori Arts: 7 projects totalling $289,442 were supported. $1,186,393 was requested by 23 applicants.
- Pacific Arts: 4 projects totalling $234,926 were supported. $626,964 was requested by 12 applicants.
Also:
- 16 of the funded projects supported the development of arts practice and the creation of new work.
- 13 supported projects enabling New Zealanders to participate in the arts.
- 6 supported projects enabling New Zealanders to experience high-quality arts.
- 3 were to support building the resilience of the New Zealand arts sector
- 1 supported New Zealand arts to gain international success.
Artforms were supported as follows:
