Arts Grants 2020/21 Round 2 Closing date: 14 Sep 2020
Arts Grants offer short-term project funding for New Zealand artists, arts practitioners and arts organisations (including groups and collectives). This funding enables more sustainable careers, encourages innovation and the development of arts practice, and provides opportunities for diverse communities to access the arts.

39 grants totalling $1,818,440 have been offered to support projects by New Zealand artists and practitioners in this funding round, across the three funding pools (General, Māori and Pacific).
175 eligible applications were received, with a total of $5,993,478 requested.
This was broken down as follows:
- General Arts: 26 projects totalling $1,078,316 were supported. $4,481,978 was requested by 149 applicants.
- Māori Arts: 9 projects totalling $525,209 were supported. $1,430,199 was requested by 27 applicants.
- Pacific Arts: 4 projects totalling $214,915 were supported. $396,871 was requested by 10 applicants.
Also:
- 18 of the funded projects supported the development of arts practice and the creation of new work.
- 6 supported projects enabling New Zealanders to experience high-quality arts.
- 10 supported projects enabling New Zealanders to participate in the arts.
- 3 were to support building the resilience of the New Zealand arts sector
- 2 supported New Zealand arts to gain international success.
Artforms were supported as follows:
