Arts Continuity Grant Batch 11 - notified 10 July 2020 Closing date: 29 May 2020
An Arts Continuity Grant is offered to support a short-term arts project, or the stage of a project, that can be delivered within a changed and evolving environment as a result of COVID-19. Decisions are made weekly, with a batch of applications assessed and recommended each week.
Projects can include the creation and/or presentation of new work. Existing projects submitted to our suspended funds can be reframed and resubmitted. Applications were open from 14 April to 29 May. More about the Arts Continuity Grant
Results for Batch 11 - applicants notified 10 July 2020
69 grants totalling $1,944,487 have been offered to support projects by New Zealand artists and practitioners in this funding round, across the three funding pools (General, Māori and Pacific).
221 eligible applications were received, with a total of $5,442,820 requested.
This was broken down as follows:
- General Arts: 47 projects totalling $1,103,860 were supported. $3,628,354 was requested by 167 applicants.
- Māori Arts: 16 projects totalling $639,643 were supported. $1,547,736 was requested by 44 applicants.
- Pacific Arts: 6 projects totalling $200,984 were supported. $266,730 was requested by 10 applicants.
Also:
- 44 of the funded projects supported the development of arts practice and the creation of new work.
- 10 supported projects enabling New Zealanders to experience high-quality arts.
- 8 supported projects enabling New Zealanders to participate in the arts.
- 4 supported projects enabling New Zealand arts to gain international success
- 3 were to support building the resilience of the New Zealand arts sector.
