Arts Continuity Grant Batch 10 - notified 3 July 2020 Closing date: 29 May 2020
An Arts Continuity Grant is offered to support a short-term arts project, or the stage of a project, that can be delivered within a changed and evolving environment as a result of COVID-19. Decisions are made weekly, with a batch of applications assessed and recommended each week.
Projects can include the creation and/or presentation of new work. Existing projects submitted to our suspended funds can be reframed and resubmitted. Applications were open from 14 April to 29 May. More about the Arts Continuity Grant
Results for Batch 10 - applicants notified 3 July 2020
84 grants totalling $2,099,691 have been offered to support projects by New Zealand artists and practitioners in this funding round, across the three funding pools (General, Māori and Pacific).
235 eligible applications were received, with a total of $5,279,120 requested.
This was broken down as follows:
- General Arts: 60 projects totalling $1,432,299 were supported. $3,799,285 was requested by 180 applicants.
- Māori Arts: 18 projects totalling $527,513 were supported. $1,229,394 was requested by 44 applicants.
- Pacific Arts: 6 projects totalling $139,878 were supported. $250,440 was requested by 11 applicants.
Also:
- 55 of the funded projects supported the development of arts practice and the creation of new work.
- 15 were to support building the resilience of the New Zealand arts sector.
- 7 supported projects enabling New Zealanders to participate in the arts.
- 7 supported projects enabling New Zealanders to experience high-quality arts.
