A space to talk meaningfully with like-minded ngā toi communities about the future of arts development in Aotearoa New Zealand. This means talking about things like professional development and capacity building for ngā toi artists, as well as funding pathways.
The sessions will last two-and-a-half to three hours, to allow time to whakawhanaungatanga, have rich conversations and a cup of tea in the middle.
The session will be guided by a local host who will support you to talk about:
- innovation, future proofing, equity, and excellence in ngā toi
- what long-term sustainable ngā toi development looks like for ngā toi artists, arts organisations, and their communities
- how we’ll know ngā toi is thriving in Aotearoa New Zealand
You will have the opportunity to form small groups to discuss the topics that interest you and your community.
You’ll be given a few starter questions to spark the conversation, and plenty of pens, paper, and sticky notes to capture the feedback you want to give to Creative New Zealand.
If you want to have more time to build on your responses yourself or with others outside of the space – fantastic! An online submission form will be available to complete between Thursday 9 March - Sunday 2 April.
