Tanea Heke

Tanea joined Creative New Zealand in January 2008. Previously she worked as a Project Manager for Te Papa Tongarewa and as the Programme Director with Taki Rua Productions. Tanea graduated from Victoria University with a BA, from the Wellington College of Education with a Diploma in Teaching and from Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School with a Diploma in Professional Acting. Tanea is responsible for delivering New Zealand’s exhibition at the Venice Biennale in 2011, having successfully managed the 2009 exhibition. Tanea works on indigenous exchange initiatives with Maori Arts Services; other visual arts projects, including the Melbourne Art Fair and Te Manu Ka Tau; representation at the Australian Performing Arts Market (APAM) and assists Gemma Peacocke with WOMEX and AWME. Tanea is based in Creative New Zealand’s Wellington office.

 

Sarah Wilson

Sarah joined Creative New Zealand in September 2005. She studied fine arts and art history graduating with an Honours Degree in Art History from Plymouth University. She has 15 years experience in a variety of arts marketing and communications roles in the United Kingdom and New Zealand. Prior to Creative New Zealand she was the Marketing and Communications Manager at the Creative HQ Business Incubator. Currently working part time Sarah manages Te Manu Ka Tau - our international visitors programme; the international literature and capability building programmes; as well as New Zealand’s representation at North American-based performing arts markets such as WAA, Western Arts Alliance. In her own time she is a freelance producer and marketing consultant. Sarah is based in Creative New Zealand’s Wellington Office.


Gemma Peacocke

Gemma joined Creative New Zealand in March 2008. Previously she worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and spent two years in Japan and the United Kingdom. She graduated from Victoria University with a BMus in Composition and a BA in English Literature and is currently studying part-time towards an Honours degree in Composition. Gemma is based in Creative New Zealand’s Wellington Office.
