A highlight of the TOWER New Zealand Youth Choir's overseas tour in July
2007 was the Festival 500 in St Johns, New Foundland, Canada, where choir members worked with other experienced international professionals and participated in intensive rehearsals and performances. 

Creative New Zealand supports Choirs Aotearoa New Zealand, which includes TOWER New Zealand Youth Choir and TOWER Voices New Zealand, with three-year funding ($220,000 per year from 2007 to 2009) for their annual programmes of activities.
