It is with great sadness that Creative New Zealand acknowledges the passing of Te Papa Chief Executive, Dr Seddon Bennington. His contribution and enthusiasm for the New Zealand arts community was far reaching and will be sorely missed.
Over the past two years Creative New Zealand has enjoyed a productive partnership with Te Papa, most particularly around the Venice Biennale. This was in no small part attributable to Seddon's enthusiasm for the Venice project. One of the many legacies Seddon will leave is that New Zealanders will get to see, at our national museum, the work of Francis Upritchard and Judy Millar as part of the New Zealand International Arts Festival from February 2010.
