Te Pumautanga o Te Arawa Trust is sponsoring a Kapa Haka festival in Rotorua to raise funds for victims of the Waitaha Earthquake.
The 5 Te Arawa teams who attended Te Matatini o Te Ra together with most of the Top 9 Finalists from Te Matatini o Te Ra will be in attendance.

The festival is the idea of Te Matarae i o Rehu and the Te Arawa Kapa Haka Trust. Specialist Event Management guru Monty Morrison has agreed to be the Festival Event Manager and Mauriora Kingi has worked through council to secure the venue. Watu Mihinui from Tuhourangi
Ngati Wahiao has organised accommodation for participating Kapa Haka.
