Creative New Zealand 2009 Budget Statement.
The Government announced its first budget 28 May 2009. Creative New Zealand will receive an additional $1.78 million annually to assist performing arts organisations to maintain their services. Creative New Zealand is delighted the Government has recognised the importance of supporting key performing arts organisations.
Creative New Zealand will work with the performing arts companies it funds prior to decisions about the allocation of the additional funding being made in early September.
Creative New Zealand’s government operating grant will be $15.689 million from the 2009/10 financial year.
