Attracting the right donor
Finding great donors for your arts organisation is always a challenge. Here are some ideas that may help you:
Use existing networks
Contact your current donors and people on your mailing and membership lists – let them know that the donation tax rules have changed.
Inform your audiences
Leave fliers, which explain the changes, after performances or at exhibition sites. Gather business cards at your events, then follow up with a phone call.
Build relationships with your local community
Get involved in your community. Use community events and publications to let people know who you are and what you do and how they can help.
Find out about existing community groups in your area – arrange to visit them and let them know what you do.
