The Screen Innovation Production Fund is a partnership between Creative New Zealand and the New Zealand Film Commission. Its purpose is to provide grants to emerging and experienced moving-image makers for innovative, experimental and non-commercial moving-image productions.
The Screen Innovation Production Fund has its own set of guidelines and budget information and website, www.screeninnovation.govt.nz.
Your application must include two completed copies of the standard Creative New Zealand project funding application form (PDF, 78KB).
Please note: you don't need a copy of Creative New Zealand's Application Workbook supplement because it is not relevant to Screen Innovation Production Fund projects. However, it does have two copies of the standard application form.
The project funding environment is extremely competitive. In the 2006 calendar year, the Screen Innovation Production Fund received 247 applications and was able to fund 39 (16%) of them. Grants ranged from $890 to $25,000.
